Privacy

Your information is revealed by stage, not by curiosity.

This page is in legal review. It describes how Delegate intends to operate and what these terms will cover. It is not yet the final agreement, and it does not create one. The binding version is published before Delegate carries a real item for you, and you will be asked to accept it at that point — not before.

The principle this policy will implement

A cross-border handoff involves several people who each need a different slice of the truth. The policy is built so that each person sees what their stage requires and nothing more.

  • Public marketplace viewers see only the information needed to understand the opportunity.
  • A selected traveler sees operational details only when the stage requires them.
  • Hub staff see only packages assigned to their approved Hub and task.
  • Recipients see their own handoff information.
  • Private evidence is not placed on the public tracking page.
  • Administrative actions are logged and restricted.

Why we ask for what we ask for

Photos. We need an image to verify the specific item, package, or handoff shown on that screen. Avoid unrelated people, documents, addresses, and private information.

Identity. Identity is required before a person may accept custody, purchase for someone, operate a Hub, or receive certain payouts. Browsing and basic account creation do not require full identity verification.

Recipient contact. The recipient must agree to the handoff and receive the private code or instructions needed to complete it.

Website enquiries. When you submit the form on this site we store your name, contact, city, chosen intention and anything you write in the message, so a person can reply. It is used to answer you and to plan the pilot — nothing else.

What the final policy must state, and cannot yet

A privacy policy is only meaningful when it names real systems. These are settled with the providers before publication:

  • the data controller and its jurisdiction;
  • each processor that touches your data, by name;
  • the identity-verification provider and what it retains;
  • the payment provider and what it retains;
  • retention periods for evidence, custody records, and enquiries;
  • the lawful bases and the rights available to you, by jurisdiction;
  • international transfer mechanisms;
  • how to make a request about your data, and who answers it.
Evidence retentionDelegate keeps evidence only for the operational, safety, legal, payment, and dispute periods defined in the current privacy policy. This site does not publish a fixed retention period, because publishing one before the policy is approved would be a promise we have not yet earned the right to make.
