Delegate › How it works

Post. Offer. Secure. Handoff.

You already know how this works without Delegate. Someone posts in the group: “Who is flying to Addis?” A name appears. A package changes hands. A promise is made. Delegate is built for that exact moment.

The old way

Someone posts in the group: “Who is flying to Addis?” A name appears. A package changes hands. A promise is made.

Then the silence begins. No clear record. No photographs. No one can say exactly where the package is or what happens next.

If it arrives, everyone is relieved. If it does not, the whole community starts investigating.

The four steps

1

Post what you need

Paste a product link, upload a photo, or describe an item you already own.

2

Receive traveler offers

Travelers going your way can accept your suggested reward or send a counteroffer.

3

Follow the required trust path

The item and traveler follow the verification, Hub, and evidence steps required for that request and corridor.

4

Confirm the handoff

The recipient confirms with a code or approved proof. The record shows what happened at every step.

One marketplace. Two request types.

Delegate began with a simple idea: let a shopper in Africa ask a traveler already coming their way to buy something abroad and bring it. Over time the same marketplace expanded naturally. The person may need a traveler to buy the item — or may already own it and only need someone to carry it.

What decides the timing

Timing depends on a real traveler trip, item review, Hub requirements, and the recipient. When a request is matched, the app shows the relevant dates and current estimate.

There is no universal delivery time, and Delegate does not publish one.

The route opens when the trust system is ready — not before.
